Every so often, the caddie doesn't tell you where to aim, so then you have to guess based on the elevation of various points of the green, blah, blah. I guess it's just not as obvious as I would've liked. Or maybe you can.I didn't read the instruction book. My only complaints are about the putting and the fact that you can't really shape shots (no hooking or fading around a dogleg). It's safe to say that the main reason I play is to use the power drive.

That move is fun as hell to bust out, especially if you can build up your driver strength and crank a 375 yard drive on a 600 yard hole. My suggestion is to learn the power swing. But once you do, you'll never want to go back.

Gameplay: It takes a little bit to get used to using the controller stick to swing if you're accustomed to the PC games where you have to do the 3-click mouse thing in the little swing circle gauge thingy. There's just something satisfying about driving the ball 350+ yards. I love the graphics, the variety of courses, the gameplay.but most of all, I love the power drive. Overall: It's pathetic how addicted I am to this game, especially since it's not as cool to brag about being really good at fake golf. Suggestions: Improve the players' graphics. Sometimes the commentary's remarks are somewhat cruel, but you get used to it.
Sound: The sound adds to a good atmosphere, and the commentary doesn't distract, either. But the courses and the surroundings look real nice, that's where they spent the most time on. Graphics: The graphics of some of the players' faces look very static to me. I'd rather want to control the spin of the ball instead of looking into his face.
What I don't like is the zoom in on the player's face when he makes an accurate shot. The controls are intuitive and well done. Some people have problems with the mashing of the white button to apply power, but that never bothered me. That is until I ran into Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003. Overall: I've never touched a golf game before because I thought of golf as being a real boring sport. If I remember right this is all really punk or punkish rock, but it gets you pumped up to play, I think the key to the visauls, was that the inviroments were life like. It doesn't have the usual golf visual glitches, like the fluxating size of ball as it hits the ground. Graphics: solid, but nothing you want to take a screen shot from and to your wall.
You can take target practice, play on the tour, or even compeat against a very interesting group of characters (mob boss, sumo wrestler, etc.) The days of power meters are done, in tiger woods golf the swing back and forth are control by your left thumbstick, minipulating this movement. Gameplay: Your choices for gameplay are endless. Tiger Woods Golf has found a way to be realistic and fun at the same time. It seems that the more realisitic you make a golf game the more boring it seems. Overall: Rarely do golf games have appeal for a lasting amoubt of time.
