I didn't crack the game, my parents bought it from GameStop 2 days ago, I still have the key and the receipt, so it has to be the other options the game presented me with. At first I thought it was AVG - trying to delete "malicious" files (Which I didn't think was possible without either the game or the computer crashing - which might explain all the crashes), but now it seems more reasonable that some virus has infected it somehow. I've done it three times, with the last time being after I got the message box from earlier, but it didn't actually find anything last time.
Every time I verify the game's files in UPlay, it always finds missing or corrupted files. There was a problem with that however, because there was this one thing in the list that when I tried to add it to the exceptions list it kept saying that nothing could be done - and then another thing would pop up that I would have to add to the exceptions list. I tried everything that seemed like it would fix it, but what decreased this happening the most was trying to add the game to the AVG Exceptions list. There was a point in time - and it still happens occasionally, where EAC stops working and I can't play multiplayer.

The first one was normal, then there was a moment where the game tabbed itself out - but nothing came up as you would expect from this sort of behavior (maybe a message box or something, some other window becomes active, etc.), then the second crash came and it was a message box that said something along the lines of "File corrupted, maybe the game is cracked or there is a virus in the game." I think it's the second option for two reasons:ġ).

I forgot to mention I'm running Windows 8.1 at the most recent update System i7 2600K GTX 970 ram 8GB win 7 64bit Same problems for me the game is unplayable. I hadn't even seen the windows loading screen, but my main monitor was off at the time so that may be why. After a few minutes, the Windows login screen opened up. The last time it crashed, the game stopped playing, then the audio started playing again, just like before, but both screens went black and stayed black. I think that's the first time I've ever gotten that error, and I had no idea what it meant. This was less than 5 minutes into the game, and the error I got was: PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA. I assume this period of time where I can hear the audio again is where it autosaves. Each time it crashes, it locks up for a few seconds, then the audio plays again for another few seconds, before the whole screen goes black as the program exits and UPlay shows up. I think 3 or 4 times (13 hours into the game), the program has just stopped. It dips down the most after returning from Net Hack to normal vision after being in Net Hack for a few minutes. I'm pretty sure it was just while driving around. With these specs, I am getting minimum 25 FPS, and a maximum of 50, usually it's at 40-45, and one time it dipped all the way down to 15.

NVidia GeForce GTX 960 (Asus Strix, OC) (GPU)ġ6gb, Kingston HyperX (~8gb free at any moment) (RAM) I don't know what kind of performance I should be having, but I do know what kind I am having.
I assumed it had something to do with my hardware - perhaps it's too hot, perhaps it's ran too long, etc. I'm having all of the above issues with the game, but mine seems to crash randomly.
